The Tata Punch EV gets not just a Nexon EV-inspired fascia but also a cool bunch of features from its larger sibling
the greatest form of flattery. Case in point the new Tata Punch EV, which comes with many segment-first features but also already seen on the Tata Nexon EV. All this has been done in an effort to differentiate it from the regular regular internal combustion engined (ICE) Punch. Here are top 10 features of the Punch EV that have trickled down from the Nexon EV:
10.25-inch touchscreen

The Punch EV now comes with a larger touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The infotainment unit gets the Arcade.ev feature which allows the user to use many apps while the car is charging. This is a welcome upgrade from the regular Punch, which gets a smaller 7-inch unit.
10.25-inch digital driver’s display

One more feature making its way from the bigger sibling is the 10.25-inch digital driver’s display, which gets slick graphics, multiple customisation options and even relays the navigation on the screen. However, this will be reserved to the higher-end variants of the Punch EV. This is also a segment-first feature.
360-degree camera

This is another example of a premium feature making its way down to mass-market segment vehicles. Despite its small size, the Punch EV will definitely benefit from a 360-degree camera system, especially on the crowded streets and tight spaces while parking.
Wireless phone charger

Adding convenience to the occupants, the wireless phone charger is yet another feature that is not available on the regular Punch. Like the 360-degree camera, we expect this too to be offered only on the higher trims and should be useful when you’re using wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
Ventilated front seats

Ventilated front seats are a boon for hot climatic regions - which India has plenty of. In fact, even in the summer months, having a cool blast of air from the seats will definitely improve the comfort of front occupants. This segment-first feature is expected to be available on the top-end trim only.
Electronic parking brake with Auto Hold

Unlike the traditional parking brake, the Tata Punch EV will get an electronic parking brake. It will also get an auto-hold feature, which should make driving in stop-and-go conditions a breeze on the Punch EV.
Vehicle to Load (V2L)

Thanks to Vehicle to Load or V2L tech, the Tata Punch EV will act as a large powerbank that can power other equipment. Case in point, if you are off-grid, you can power your campsite, or charge up your devices or even make a hot cup of tea at a scenic spot.
Six airbags

The new Tata Punch EV comes with six airbags as standard. This aligns with the new vehicle safety norms as well as comes with a few more safety features like electronic stability control (ESC), ABS and rear parking sensors as standard.
Projector LED headlamps with Connected DRLs

Tata has equipped the Punch EV with new LED projector lamps along with LED DRLs and a full-width light bar. Meanwhile, the regular Punch comes with a standard halogen projector unit. The light bar at the front comes with welcome and goodbye animations.
Air purifier

There is an inbuilt air purifier with AQI display on the Tata Punch EV. The readings from this are displayed on the infotainment unit. The car occupants will hence be able to notice the improved air quality inside the car vs that on the outside.

Meanwhile, Tata has commenced bookings for the Punch EV ahead of its launch. The official price is not yet out, but expect it around the range of Rs. 12 lakh, ex-showroom. It will lock horns with the Citroen eC3, while being an SUV alternative to the Tata Tigor EV.
